Characterizing Animal Behaviors in Response to Drug and Device Interventions

We want to characterize behavioral phenotypes in order to see the effects of drug and device interventions over time. To do this, we leverage computational ethograms, which “automate the measurement and the analysis of animal behavior”. We use image-based tracking, which provides detailed information about the behavior of individuals at local scales, such as how they move, with which other individuals they interact, the sensory information available to them, and the role of internal and environmental drivers in shaping their behavior.
